Downtown History

Downtown Eagle is rich in history for the Eagle River Valley. It contains most of the oldest buildings, some dating back to the late 1800s. Currently the oldest building in Downtown is old Town Hall built in 1903. It was the first brick structure and was used for the Eagle Club Saloon. It went through numerous businesses since then and became the town hall building in 1977.
There are numerous information plaques all around downtown, provided by the Eagle County Historical Society, with fun historical facts. Check out the map at the corner of Broadway and 3rd Street.
